The Nelson/Tasman community is very important to us. The team at Shone & Shirley support our community through our involvement with the following organisations.

Restore

The Restore shop sells secondhand goods donated by members of the community in order to help fund the building of houses for those in need under the Habitat for Humanity umbrella.

Sands

Sands NZ is a network of non-profit groups throughout the country run by parents who have lost a baby. They provide support to those going through the trauma of losing a child in this way.

Nelson Tasman Hospice

The Nelson Tasman Hospice provides inpatient beds along with a dedicated medical team,  in-home community nursing palliative care and bereavement services.  They are committed to supporting families and individuals in this region through illness, death and bereavement.

Nelson Rotary West

The Rotary Club of Nelson West was founded in 1966 and has a long history of serving the Nelson community. They are part of Rotary International.

Nelson RSA

The Nelson Returned and Services Association is an organisation representing past and present members of the NZ's armed forces in Nelson. Their rooms are at 236 Songer St Stoke.

Richmond Waimea RSA

The Richmond Waimea Returned and Services Association is an organisation representing past and present members of the NZ's armed forces in the Richmond/Waimea region. Their meetings are held at Club Waimea.

KidsCan

KidsCan is Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading charity dedicated to helping Kiwi kids affected by poverty. We help tamariki experiencing hardship by providing food, jackets, shoes, and health products to schools and early childhood centres across New Zealand. With these essentials, kids can participate in learning and have the opportunity for a better future. 

Heart Foundation

The Heart Foundation’s mission is to "stop all people in New Zealand dying prematurely from heart disease and enable people with heart disease to live full lives".
