"A great woman and librarian. Respected for her pragmatic and ever cheerful approach to work and life. I had the privilege of following Daphne into work both as medical librarian at Nelson Hospital and later as a librarian at Nelson Public Library as it transitioned into digital record keeping. They were heady times and Daphne made the most of that experience. Daphne and I studied at Massey University together briefly as extra mural students. Always humble she used to ask me for advice even though it was clear she was more able than me at university study. She achieved so much in her life. My condolences to Jean, Jonathan, Darren and Vaughan."
