"Marlene Evans has been a long time friend of my parents (Keith & Val Inwood) and I have many lovely memories of her. She had the most infectious laugh. When ever she came to visit she would never leave without first doing the rounds of our gardens. May you forever be at peace with your loving Ian. Beautiful memories forever." Denise McKnight.

"To the family of Marlene Evans- Marlene will be greatly missed at St Alban's church in Appleby. She greatly enjoyed the music and expressed her appreciation often. A truly delightful Christian lady". Christine Chapman

"Just to say I have wonderful memories of playing badminton with Marlene for many years - a wonderful lady who I really enjoyed great chats with over the years. Her tricky little net shots were envied by lots of us! I hope there's a court available to her somewhere now! Kind thoughts to a lovely lady." Deb Weir
