Jean passed away peacefully at home with her loving children by her side. She was the cherished daughter of Esme and Claude Phillips. The dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Linda and Ian Ross, Grant Christall and Lorraine and Tony Reade. A loved Grandmother to Gemma, Olivia and Kirsten. A friend to Paula Radford. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Nelson Tasman Region Hospice.

From Helen Kain (née Paulsen) to my old school friend Linda and your family. I was sad to see your lovely Mum’s death notice in the paper at the weekend and wanted to pass on my condolences to you. It brought back memories of years ago growing up in Stoke and ice cream (soda) spiders your Mum made us after school at her house in Songer Street Linda. Losing your parents is difficult enough without the added challenges of these current times. My thoughts are with you and I send our love and support.
